NeoBase is a database for research and quality assurance of the treatment of premature born babies. It is currently installed at 8 Danish hospitals, and has been in service for more than 10 years.

The system records the state and the treatments of the newborn. CRIB Score and other survivability indicators are computed as well as premature deaths. Follow-up outpatient checks are also recorded. The database, originally developed in Paradox ™, has been changed to LDB Desktop.

The system includes a number of formatted reports with year-to-year statistics by department.

A new version is expected this year. In the process of the conversion to the new system, a number of databases for different departments will be consolidated.
